In issue 363 of our magazine OCU-Compra Maestra we published the results of a study on the recycling of appliances which highlighted the lack of control in waste management. To do this OCU installed a GPS tracking device allowing different waste products to be tracked. Of the 15 which were followed only 6 reached their destination. The rest received inadequate treatment. OCU denounced the lack of control and lack of transparency in the information about recycling and also brought the facts to the attention of the Environmental Prosecutor.
